Cirencester Philharmonia is a friendly, versatile orchestra based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
We perform two concerts per year in the Cotswold area from a varied repertoire.
After our concert in October 2017 the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard said
... The combination of the audience, the music, the orchestra and the venue led to a delightful evening of musical entertainment. A small town such as Cirencester is fortunate to have this group of musicians and so a big "thank you" is appropriate to all those who enabled this concert to be put on, the organisers, the church, the members of the orchestra and especially the Director and Conductor, Ian Higginson.
Next Concert: Sunday 17th May 2020. For details click here.
The orchestra is fortunate to have both the world-famous pianist Martin Roscoe and the world-famous organist and conductor Ian Tracy as patrons of the orchestra. We look forward to a fruitful relationship with Martin and Ian in the future.
The position of leader has now been filled. Due to the success of our most recent concerts, we are still looking to recruit more string players next season. Other instruments are always welcome to apply, as future opportunities could arise to play with the orchestra. Rehearsals for our next concert start Sunday 15th March 2020 - for more information please contact us using the enquiries link below.
